Swim Lessons: Avery

Avery was excited to take swim lessons this summer, especially after Jack loved his so much. He was in summer school then we went to Branson then it was the week of Independence Day so he had to wait a few weeks to get his turn. But it was worth it! He had so much fun and did so well. We've spent quite a lot of time at the pool this summer so he was used to the water and even jumped off the diving board over and over (and over!) again the last time we went to the pool. So I wasn't too worried, but when we go he wears a life jacket so I was interested to see how he did without one.

He was awesome, treading water and attempting to swim to the life guards, dunking his head for long-ish periods of time and fearlessly going down the water slide alone each day.

Jack didn't like sitting on the sidelines while Avery was taking his lessons, but we managed to avoid any incidents :) Nora was perfect and chill the whole time, of course. I suppose it helps that she was buckled into the stroller.
