Thanksgiving week recap...
So much happened the week of Thanksgiving, it'd take too much time and space to write about it all. And chances are no one would make it through the whole post! So I'll make it short!
Andy's parents and his older sister and her family came out for the festivities, they were here for about a week. Andy only worked 2 1/2 days all week! It was so great! Thank goodness for his job with paid holidays!! :)
We pretty much got together for dinner and games every night, it was a lot of fun. But very busy.
We had Thanksgiving at my brother in laws house, it was really great. The food was so good and of course I ate way too much! But it was worth it! It was a lot of fun to have some family in town for the holidays.
I'm so used to huge family gatherings that sometimes it's weird to me when there are only 10 or so people getting together for things. So it was fun to have so many here this week. (fyi, my parents had over 40 people, and multipal turkeys at their house for Thanksgiving this year!!!)
On saturday we went to Andy's brother Jon's for the baby blessing of their newest little girl. After the blessing we had a yummy breakfast that they had prepared for everyone. I love bagels...!
we also went and looked at the Christmas lights at Thanksgiving point, they were alright.
I look forward to driving around some of the ritzy neighborhoods here in town this year.
Anyway, Avery LOVED the lights! He kept saying "oh wow" "lights" and "see?", it was adorable! He's just getting so big!!
I can't remember what else we did. It was fun though, we (well, not so much me) played lots of games. And the guys had fun watching lots (almost too many!) of sporting events.
Avery also discovered the toilet. Not fun! 3 times in 2 days!! YUCK!
Here are some pictures of our week.
Some of the bunch playing a game.
Heather slaving away in the kitchen, and her pretty place settings

Avery's first real Thanksgiving meal! He liked it, last year he didn't even have teeth!

He took to Andy's prents right away, he's such a social little guy!
he loves wearing hats, however, when he was done with this one he threw it in the toilet! Punk!

Super Avery!
Avery loves wearing anything around his neck! Sometimes he brings be pants to tie around him like a cape. So I finally decided to make him a cape. he loves it! And he'll seriously wear it all day, it's really cute! Here are some fun pictures of him in his stylin' cape!

two at a time! He loves wearing my purse around his neck too! He's so funny!

Halloween pictures
With all the excitement over the Taurus being found I forgot to post about Halloween!
Avery dressed up as Darth Vader, and Andy wore his Steve Young jersey to work. I'm not so much into dressing up, but I did wear a festive shirt! :)
In the morning we went trick or treating at Andy's office building. At first Avery wasn't quite sure what was going on, but as soon as he realized that all the strangely dressed adults were putting treats in his bag he wanted to stop and eat it all! It was so cute, he of course didn't want to hold my hand so Andy and I spent a fair amount of time chasing him down hall ways, but all in all it was a fin morning. All the way home after that he sat in his car seat yelling "mo! mo!" at me, he was quite upset that I wouldn't give him anymore candy!!
Later that evening we went to the ward trunk-or-treat. It was dark and cold so we didn't stay long. And we ran out of candy for the other trunk-or-treaters. We ended up recycling Avery's candy and still ran out by 9 for the kids going door to door.
Earlier in the week we went to a haunted train ride in Pleasant Grove, it was a lot of fun. It was just a little train that grown people barely fit in. but they had all sorts of little haunted tunnels that we rode through and all sorts of scary creatures chasing us in the train. it was fun.
We also went to a drive by haunted house. It was really cool, they had tons of halloween decor all over their yard and house and lights that flashed. All you have to do is tune your radio to a certain station that is playing a 10 minute "scary" story with spooky music and sound effects and they had all the lights and stuff timed to the radio station story. It was really fun!
I'm glad we didn't end up having tons of left over candy! That's about the last thing we need!

You really can find everything at Wal-Mart...
Including our stolen car!!! Woo Hoo!
I went down to the Springville walmart this morning to do a little grocery shopping and as I drove into the parking lot I saw a pretty little (not really little at all actually) Ford Taurus sitting there, so like all the other taurus' that we've seen since ours went missing I looked closely to see if it was ours and it was!!! When I read the license plate I seriously almost hit the car in front of me! I was shaking so bad, I was so stinking excited!
I parked next to it and the carseat in the back confirmed it was indeed ours! I called the police and they told me not to touch it and someone was on their way over. There was a lot of waiting involved but finally they decided to let us take it home. I kindly asked the police officer to look in the trunk for me, it's been my biggest fear that we'd get the car back with some extra baggage (aka...a dead body or something equally as scary!). There wasn't anything in there but our stuff. Thank goodness!
We had to jump start the car, it looked like it'd been sitting for about a week or so. The cop stayed with it while it was running and I picked Andy up at work so he could drive it home. So now we just want to get it checked out to make sure everything is okay. And miraculously the only 2 things missing are Andy's mp3 player and a plug in charger thingy. The gas tank is even half full! :) Lucky us!
We're just so thankful we found it and a bonus is that it has no damage! it was pretty dirty outside and things had been tossed around a bit inside, but other than that it's fine!
Now onto getting it checked out!
