Halloween #2

This year for Halloween we scored some great costumes for cheap at a second hand store. We were lucky enough to find things the boys love. So they were very excited to dress up.
We also carved pumpkins, but I only managed to take a bad picture with my cell phone. We had Mickey Mouse, and Yoda.

Avery was Harry Potter, and Jack was batman. They got to dress up several times, for events...and just around the house. We had our ward Halloween party, it was a little crazy but overall fun.
I helped decorate one of the rooms, but forgot to take a picture. Which is too bad I think it turned out pretty cute, it was Candy Land themed.
Then Avery dressed up for his pre-school Halloween party, and since Avery was wearing his costume Jack insisted on wearing his too.

So he sported the batman look at home, and loved it. Avery had so much fun at his school party, they walked around to some of the local businesses and loaded up on tons of candy. He had fun playing ghost games and reading stories. 

Since Halloween was on Sunday this year we chose to skip trick or treating (we've never gone traditional trick or treating with our boys anyway, we try to stick to the trunk or treats...anyway) On the 30th we had a yummy finger food dinner with Sarah and Kevin's family and went to the Polo Halloween Carnival with them. It was so fun, a little crowded but Avery had a blast!

Jack was a little overwhelmed by the people, I think. he gladly stayed in the stroller except to play a few games, collect his reward and then he would quickly scurry back to the stroller. I'm not going to lie, it was nice. He's usually so crazy that we're chasing him around, so it was a nice break.

The boys left the carnival with squishy spiky balls, and were in heaven.

All in all it was a successful and relatively stress free Halloween for us this year. Now onto Thanksgiving!
