This past weekend we went on a mini-vacation to Cedar City. It was a lot of fun, we left on Thursday and stayed until Sunday afternoon.

We wanted to do some stuff we hadn't done down there before. It only took us 4 1/2 years to branch out. :) We always have a lot of fun visiting my brother and his family, even without the extra stuff. Drop us at any DI and we're good! :)
On Friday we loaded up and drove to Saint George. We went to the St. George Tabernacle, and had a very condensed tour. It's not easy doing some things with 5 small boys! It was a very pretty building and we wished that we would have been able to take a little bit longer to look at it and learn the history. Maybe in 10 or 15 years we'll be able to really enjoy a tour somewhere!

After that we picnicked at a park and the boys played for a bit. Then we headed to the temple to watch the Joseph Smith movie and walk around the Temple grounds. Good thing we were the only ones in the theater room at the time. the boys had a hard time sitting still. Jack spent most of the time crawling around, and Avery and Ryan were playing dogs I think. It was a great movie though, I'd love to see it again.

Saturday we drove to Kolob Canyon, part of Zion Nat'l Park, and hiked one of the shorter trails. I was a little worried about our boys and how they would fair. But they did really well. Most of the trail was decent enough to push Jack in the little stroller. We eventually had to ditch the stroller and carry him. But it wasn't bad.

Avery insisted that we were actually on a Safari. He kept saying things like "This sure is a Safari", "Mom, we're on Safari!" and "What a good Safari".

He thought it was great! He also loved it when we found a cactus that resembled Mickey Mouse!

It was a Gorgeous Hike, we really had so much fun!
Saturday was Ryan's 3rd Birthday Party, his birthday was actually Sunday.

Robyn did an adorable Blues Clues themed party, complete with a pin the flag on the mailbox game, a paw print cake and sugar cookies with paw prints on them.

All the kids got handy dandy notebooks and crayons, it was fun! Though I think Avery's favorite thing at the party was the little stream that ran through the park, he spent so much time playing in it, he was totally soaked when we left but he loved it!

We spent the remainder of our trip just hanging out, we played a game, at lots of food and talked. It gets a little crazier every time we get together, but with 5 boys under 5...that's what we get I guess.

It sure is fun to see them having so much fun together though. Even with all the accidents that happen when they're all playing together. It's been fun for Avery to be able to play with them so often.

And now back to real life. Phone calls, cleaning, callings, and hopefully some more fun before Andy starts school in a couple weeks!
