Play Ball!

We signed both boys up for ball this summer. Avery is in Machine Pitch with other 1st/2nd graders. He's never played before so we were a little nervous to put him straight in machine pitch, but he's caught on quickly and he's having tons of fun. It's pretty hilarious watching all the 6-7 year old running around the field. Any time someone shouts an order to one kid they pretty much all think they're the one that's supposed to do that, so sometimes there will be a swarm of kids running towards a ball, or a base. They're all doing much better after just a few weeks of practice and a couple games. Still funny to watch though. And they don't keep score, which is lucky for the team they played last night, because Avery's team dominated. :) But who's keeping track...? Not us. :)

Jack is in t-ball, and I'm pretty sure they don't actually play games? So far they haven't said anything about a game, and they've just been learning the basic rules. Which is good too. Jack is very outgoing around family, and quick to be silly. But he's so shy and weird (Can I say that?!) around other people. He starts walking around with his hands up like a T-Rex, and his tongue sticking out. And sometimes he growls and strangers. So, that's sort of how T-Ball practice goes :) He's pretty hilarious. I think he likes it, and that's what is important!
