So Nora and I had our first girls trip! : )
My sisters and one brother were also able to make it. We had such a good time with family, Nora got to meet Grandpa Rob (my dad) for the first time and was doted on by lots of family members.
It was awesome to be there with my dad's family as we celebrated the life of my Uncle. He will definitely be missed, he was a happy, loving, kind man. And when I think of him I smile. It makes me so thankful for the gospel knowledge I have.
There was so much that happened in our short trip I'll just post pictures. It was a whirlwind trip, and even though it's been almost a week since we got home I still feel like I'm recovering! Nora was awesome on the flight there and back, and she was so friendly and happy with all the new family members she met. That was a huge relief to me. You never know quite how babies will react to new experiences and people, but she really was perfect! It helped that she got a lot of attention, she likes that. : )
DAY 1(which was actually day 2...but day 1 we really just lazed around Gram's house...) - Port Townsend, we sat on the beach, ate pizza, walked all over town and shopped a little. Nora loved the green grass!
DAY 2 - Farmers Market, Nora's first ferry ride and Ikea! I've missed you Ikea...
DAY 3 - Uncle Pete's Memorial BBQ, lots of meat and no fruits or veggies...just like Uncle Pete would have wanted it! : )
DAY 4 - Visiting Kollin's grave site/new headstone and Hoyle family picnic at the beach
DAY 5 - long long travel day - Nora and I spent about 16 hours in airports and on airplanes, she was a trooper and we were so glad to get home to our boys!
