What we love about Rural Missouri...

We love all the rolling fields and taking long drives with the windows down, we love how quiet and peaceful it can be and how green all the trees are. We don't love that stores close at 8...but that's another story, and we can just say that's "quaint". :)

But, we also love things like this....
The Amish Mini Van.
We just loved this, I don't know if this guy was on a religious walk about or what, but it made us smile. Good for you buddy. (and yes, that is a wheel on the bottom)

We're keeping our eye out for more things out here that put a special smile on our faces. :)

From father to son

Thanks to the Missouri humidity, and curly hair genes from Andy, Jack's hair can be quite crazy. But don't worry it's not like this all the time. :)

We love his little curly head

slacking

We've got a lot going on I just can't seem to get in the blogging mood lately.

We're still working on painting and some finishing touches in the apartment. Our goal is to be done by the end of the month with the things we have planned. We're on track to make it, we just need to do it.

We've been getting together with family but since we're not on vacation I haven't taken my camera anywhere.

This is what I have...

Saturday we headed to Saint Joseph to do some shopping and meet some friends for lunch. It was a lot of fun, it was great getting together with Karen and Sam and laughing like old times.the kids playing with Uncle Keenan. He stopped by after church yesterday and got the boys all riled up and crazy. They loved it and can't wait to play with Uncle Keenan again!I need to take more pictures.

This is what happens when...

...a certain 3 year old doesn't get enough sleep.

He's been waking up before 7 every day this week.
And, this is what happens when a certain little brother gets a kick out of torturing his big brother! Little punk!
And here's an adorable picture of Jack. He loves when I pull the camera out.

Goodbye Provo...

If someone had told me when I was 16 that I would spend the first 5 1/2 years of marriage in Utah I would have laughed in their face. "Utah Mormons" annoyed me, I don't like being away from my family, and what on earth would take me there?!

Now, I miss it. I miss the family we were around out there, and I miss our friends. And you know, living near civilization. :)

We had a good life in Provo. It's where Andy and I started our married life, where we experienced lots of ghetto living (like our first apartment that had fake walls!), started our family, started the blog!, made the best friends, Andy graduated from BYU twice, and lots of other awesome things, I'm sure. We were very happy there.

We look gigantic next to Jordan and Amelia...We're not that huge, and they're not that short. But it's kind of a funny picture!! :)
It's sad for us to leave, and also happy. Because it means we get to be close to a lot of other family members, but it means we had to leave everything we were familiar with and the people we are close to.We're excited for new adventures and re-familiarizing ourselves with Missouri, and the boys...well, not so much Jack yet...so Avery is loving being around all the cousins to play with!

Right now, we're living in an apartment in Andy's parents attic. It's working out nicely. We love all the time we've been able to spend with family so far. We've got some touch up work to do, after that I'll take pictures and post them. We're excited to see what the future holds!
So, Goodbye Provo. Thanks for the good times! :)

The Graduate

So much has been going on for our family the last few weeks, but I think the most important is the fact that Andy graduated with his Master's Degree in Social Work on April 23rd! I'm so proud of him and all the hard work he put in to his schooling and work the last few years. He's awesome, which he will readily tell you if you ask. Or, even if you don't. :)

We're definitely glad that school is over, now it's on to "real life" for us! Sort of... :)

I'm not gonna lie, I got a little teary eyed when Andy put on his cap and gown, I'm so proud of him and all he's accomplished.
The boys waiting for graduation to start. For the most part they were great, the graduation was just so dang long!
Avery practicing for his own graduation!
